Or even a *New* Sony XPERIA Acro S with IP57 water (1metre/30 minutes) and dust protection.
Sports a HDMI interface which I tend to like over the MHL port as this leaves a USB port freed up.

Screen: Scratch-resistant shatter proof glass 4.3" 720 x 1280 pixels
Protection: IP57
CPU: Dual-core 1.5GHz
GPU: Adreno 220
Memory: 1GB RAM
Internal Storage: 11GB
External Storage: MicroSD Card 32GB
HDMI: Yes
NFC: Yes
Bluetooth: 3.0
Camera: 12MP
Secondary Camera: 1.3MP
Audio: FLAC, Ogg, MP3
Battery: 1910mAh
Xperia™ acro S
Still not that great in the scale of things though. But it is close.

One really needs the Sony XPERIA SX Snapdragon S4 chipset ie Adreno 225 or better

As this has the potential to give us 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 along with a dual channel 500MHz memory, not to mention a better GPU.

If it's good enough for the Japanese, it's good enough for us, why do Sony seem to be forcing the older Snapdragon S3 chipset on us. I wont buy anything less than a Snapdragon S4 these days....so there Sony.

A Samsung Galaxy S III would snowball the Sony XPERIA Acro S on CPU and GPU performance.

uZe can connect em USB keyboard if you like'm boss.

The beauty of a USB OTG port it means you can connect Logitech Unifying USB mouse/keyboard and then use the HDMI to connect to a monitor/TV.

There is the XPERIA Pro Mk16 which has a built-in slide out keyboard.

I read that the NFC in the XPERIA acro S is "**Not available for payments."  That kind of sucks.

This begs the question, are any of the currently available Sony XPERIA phones with NFC available for the use of payments?
