Just read the following article, any idea what he is on about in the quote below, I have never found any major issues, Android supports Proxys, VPN's, Exchange (via suitable app) etc, maybe I missed something

The iPhone works better than Android devices in corporate settings. Android, for instance, lacks the tools needed to access wi-fi at my office or the corporate email system (though some might consider that a plus for Android).

No idea. I am using a Galaxy SIII review unit and have no problems connecting to different WiFi AP, synchronising to my Office 365 account and more.

Interesting he writes that but won't explain what's his office setup and what's missing.

Looks very much to me like an iPhone owner/reviewer trying to look unbiased.

Some reviewers do a poor job of being objective, and nor do they bother sometimes to actually explore how the device works and what it can do. If it doesn't do it like their device of choice, i.e. they can't get it to do something by following the same actions as they are used to, then by default obviously it doesn't have that feature.

One more thing, this article is a good example of why I don't bother with "Stuff" apart from the poor reviewing. Stuff is an New Zealand website yet so many articles like this one are just plucked from Australian publications. Are we not capable of doing our own reviews in New Zealand?

Many Stuff articles are often portaryed as New Zealand written, but are actually written in Australia for Australian readership making them in some cases irrelevant to a New Zealand reader.

The article is terrible and hasn't been modified for the NZ market, except for changing the price (Stuff quite often don't do that now either).

Comparing 2 x phones that are 12 months development apart? It's a no brainer I would have thought.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

"performance" not found at all on page, "quad core" not found until the comments, don't even bother searching for Exynos...

Oh, it's not a fair comparison because the iPhone is older? Sure thing reviewer, how about mentioning the entire iPhone can fit into the S3's display...

Someone needs to organise a partnership with whoever owns Stuff to get some decent mobile content on there. It's too bad that the reviewers for smaller sites in NZ (AMNZ, ANZ etc) will never get a job at Stuff, NZHerald etc cause we don't have a journalism degree, even though I see no true journalistic qualities in that writing and a severe lack of technical knowledge... SMH

I am probably in the minority here but i work for a large multinational corporate who has adopted Google/Gmail globally. There is a range of iphone, android and blackberry devices being used but I have to say the android option cannot be beaten in this instance.

To be fair, this sort of comparison is probably what normal* people want, and it was never going to be based on the specs, rather the user experience

What about connecting to PEAP-MSCHAPv2 networks? And I thought Android didn't support wifi proxies? But if it does how do you set it?

Earlier versions of Android, around the 2.3.3 mark don't support proxy. 2.3.5 and onwards does, it's under the advanced options of the wifi setup settings section. So really does depend on what firmware you're running.

If you run Opera as your browser you have an option within that to use Proxy, just for completeness.

Well since 4.0.4 still can't connect to enterprise networks then no it doesn't make the point baseless

I personally disregard these articles, they miss all the key points.

To me a quad core means almost nothing, its about the user experience. They hardly mentioned anything in terms of general use, it's really hopeless.

Personally I dont like the S3 or iPhone 4 (shock and horror!). I've tried both. The Glaxy S3 is too big and the iPhone 4 is apple. (enough said =P)

I have a Lumia 800 myself and dispite my recent issue I would take it any day over either of those phones. Adminitly I dont game on my phone (or use it to watch movies). I actually use it as a business phone and it in my mind blow's Android out of the water.

I found this comment quite surprising as well since I can connect to the work wifi (I simply asked for the password) and use the email exchange server (IT gave the server address) with my Android phone.

In general I have found Stuff phone reviews (Android or Apple) to be simply fluff pieces. You never really find out what the phone can do or the features it has in any detail, often because the reviewer has not had the phone for long and/or they are otherwise not familiar with the operating system.

While on the topic I agree that simply republishing Australian articles on Stuff is at best lazy journalism. It ranks up there with describing You Tube videos as having "gone viral" (please please can they get a new adjective) and quoting peoples (often friends I bet) twitter comments after an event. My personal favourite was after one of the Christchurch earthquakes a twitter post of "wow that was big" was reported - illuminating.
