I'm looking to buy an Asus transformer tablet and want to understand if or how to watch Ondemand TV.

I tried an Asus Prime in Harvey Norman, which was internet connected.  The TVNZ website failed to deliver ondemand content, stating an error message that HTML5 was not available (or words to that effect).

Am I right that because Flash isn't on the Android browsers that it can't be done?  Ever?

Are there alternative apps/browsers/plugins that can enable Ondemand viewing?

I was presuming that Android could do this, as it will be a no-go otherwise.

Same here. Works really well! I have never used it before. Might have to start using it.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

You can always download flash player in the android market.

It works really well on the s1 s2 and s3 and tab 10.1

I'm being somewhat hyper-cautious...

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.flashplayer&hl=en
includes comment "FLASH PLAYER IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED FOR NEW DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS. FLASH PLAYER WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED ON ANY ANDROID VERSION BEYOND ANDROID 4.0.x"

though Adobe do state Asus transformer as certified, and Asus also confirm Flash support on their website.

What does the Adobe statement mean in reference to ICS updates that Asus may/will provide? Is it a hint to HTML5?

The best answer would for an Asus transformer user, with ICS installed to confirm they are OK with Ondemand viewing.

I might sneek back into HN and do the install and check it all out myself...
