I want to migrate off my ipod onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 for podcast listening. Anyone have a recommendation for a good podcast app to use? I mainly download Radio New Zealand and BBC podcasts.

Does Google play have anything to rival iTunes in the podcast arena?

Thanks in advance.

I used to use Listen. Haven't really found a good podcast/netcast app though.

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

I use BeyondPod.
Love it.

I tried Stitcher, but just couldn't get used to it.

Podkicker

Simple, direct to phone, it works.

I use Google Listen - it's not flash, usability is limited. However, it syncs with your Google Reader account and so enables really easy subscribing to podcasts through desktop browser etc.

Pocketcasts by shiftyjelly is one of the best I have used, tried quite a few but settled on Pocketscasts about 9 months ago.

Thanks for feedback. I am currently playing with Google Listen. Early impressions - I like it. Only negative is that the search function is next to useless - nothing like itunes. Otherwise, it's good.

A co-worker of mine swears by "BeyondPod". He loves it. I installed it but don't really have the time to listen to things that deliver information in such a slow and variable way (ie: human speech).

Heh, you must be fun to live with - strong, silent type? :-) I use it while driving, very efficient way of delivering information that I doubt you could do safely (or legally) any other way...

I use BeyondPod, tried a couple of others and did't like them but haven't tried anything else recently because it does everything I need.
