I've got my Google Calendar App set up now just as I want it (this was helpful: http://robfine.com/aspnet/RemoveFacebookBirthdaysfromAndroidPhoneCalendar ), it shows my main google calendar + meetups + NZ holidays + Facebook Events.

And I've got little 2x3 widget showing this on my central home screen so that I can see all the info at a glance.

However, I would still like to occasionally be able to look easily at upcoming Friends' birthdays (it was impractical to use my calendar on a daily basis however with them included, as every single day has got several people listed!!) so I thought maybe another 2x3 widget on one of the other home screens on the side would be perfect.

But it appears it can only mimic what is shown in the main app, the widget can't display its own calendar (for instance, just the Friends' Birthdays Calendar) which is different from the main app's current settings.

Ideas for a solution? Thanks.

Have a look at Agenda Widget.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

I use Business Calendar which lets you use different calendars in different widgets.

Android Pro Widgets (APW). Free version can do that, plus they have lots of other nice widgets.
