I've got one of the original Samsung Galaxy Tab's, and the only time I can ever get it to show that it's "100% charged" is by charging it when it's turned off. While it's booted up, it only ever gets to 99% and just sits there.

I've tried wiping the battery stats, training it completely & fully charging it from the proper AC adaptor, but no dice.

It's possible the battery is just starting to get a bit tired, but does anyone know a way to recalibrate this somehow so it's not in a permanent state of "charging" while it's plugged in?

Are you able to remove the battery? If so, try taking it out for 10 minutes (with the charger removed, of course) then put it all back together.

This should be enough to trick the device into thinking that a new battery has been installed, and it should calibrate the battery again.

Are you using the genuine Samsung charger? I find mine does not like any charger but it's own. I've tried others but they never reach 100%, only the Samsung charger does.

Also, I had noted that the Samsung material does say it will not charge at full efficiency while turned on, maybe that's what they are implying?

It used to charge to 100%, it doesn't now.

I'm using the genuine Samsung 2amp charger.
