I am off to Melbourne for a few days and would like to use google maps there on my HTC Desire. I also don't want to be using a lot of 3G data if I can help it.

Is there any way of preplaoding map data for, say, central Melbourne on the phon before I leave? I am aware that Google Maps caches quite a lot of data, but it still seems very network busy even in my own city, where you would assume it would have plenty of cached data.
