I have a standard Telecom S2 and I cannot get it to connect to Kies to get the upgrades? I've installed Kies on two different Win 7 machines (32bit & 64bit), when I conenct the phone, it displays connected on the screen but Kies does not see it?

I had a similar issue, if I remember correctly it was a combination of timing, plug phone in before starting kies or the other way round. if you haven't tried that already

Mine was not on, but I turned it on and connected it. Kies responded with unsupported mode, so I disconnected, turned USB debugging off again, and connected. Kies then acknowledge the device connected, but got stuck at "Connecting ..." dialogue. Tried the troubleshooter but that did not address the issue.

it's developed a new problem, whereby it cannot be turned off, it keeps on rebooting. i've tried hard resetting it a (once using remote wipe, the second time from the menu), I'm guessing it's a hardware fault so I'll take it back to Telecom on Monday.
