Hi there, just got a new Xperia U and am having an odd problem.
I can either have data access on the phone (email, web etc) OR tethering, not both at the same time.

Anyone got any ideas?

BTW am on Vodafone, and could do this on my Nexus One

Check your APN settings.

I had the same issues on my Telecom SII as their default APN mode wouldn't allow data + voice + tether

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Cheers, though I'm pretty sure that they're the right settings. It actually came with a preconfigured Italian tether setup and still connected via Voda, so I assume it ignores a separate tether APN setup.

Sooo... if anyone can provide me with alternative settings that might work, I'd be very grateful
