News on the wire that ASUS pushing out Android 4.1 'Jellybean' to its TF300. Any NZ owners received the update yet? I know it may take a couple of days to come through, but I am looking at the 300 as my next tablet (already a TF101 owner) and would like to know how JB looks and goes on it.

Just arrived,
install took approx 5-10 minutes,
rebooting another few minutes,
then optimizing apps, upgrading databases (contacts, media)

all done.

Don't seem to have lost anything obvious. But need time to have more indepth play.

Hey Dingbatt.

I am running the TF101 on Jellybean from Team EOS and am most impressed. It is as stable as the previous ICS build and more stable than Asus's initial ICS build.

I have considered an upgrade to the TF300 but kind of feel like it is just a repeat of the TF101. What are your reasons for upgrading? A bit more speed?

Cheers, Matt.

I will be interested in your comments after you have been able to shake it down a bit. I have my fingers crossed it will be smoother than the OTA that took the TF101 and TF201 from Honeycomb to ICS. I know this is a point change (4.0 to 4.1) rather than a version change so that may keep it stable.

It is amazingly stable. I have been running it for 10 days probably. Currently on build 63. The only thing that doesn't work is the GPS which doesn't worry me.

The only issue I have is that occasionally (once every couple of days) the browser will stop responding and then pops up with the "Browser has stopped responding, do you want to quit or wait". I restart it at that stage. That is the only issue I have noticed.

Sorry, not really a Jellybean on TF300 post! I am waiting for the Asus Transfomer Book 11.6" to replace the TF101. It will be more expensive than the TF300 though!

Sorry our posts crossed, I was actually after feedback on the OTA to JB on the TF300.

I have been watching with interest the JB builds being developed over at XDA for the TF101. It's just that geek twitch when the next generation of devices has come down to a reasonable price that got me looking at the TF300. I like the idea of a Tegra3 device running JB but that has the advantages I enjoy with the TF101, like keyboard dock, expandible memory, USB ports, hdmi out, etc. That is why I would prefer it over the Nexus7.

I use and rely on my TF101 too much at the moment to experiment with a JB ROM on it just yet.

Reports seem mixed, but there is still a chance the tf101 will get jellybean.

Who knows though. I am amazed how good their ICS implementation on the tf101 is though. Really nice and smooth.

Im still waiting for my upadate on TF300, checked yesterday and still nothing as yet, but it will be interesting as of course there is no flash support for Jelly Bean, and it might take a while for websites that have not upgraded to HTML5 to do so, but on the other hand everything else i have heard about JB i look forward to.

I will let you know when i get mine, hopefully this week....

Yes my TF300 was purchased in the states, and it did receive a notification to update.

There doesn't appear to be anything that doesn't work as a result of the upgrade.
There seem to be less app wait/close prompts.

Slightly OT but what's making you not consider the TF700?
