I'm currently using a stock S3, and have also used a Note since I had a 4S.

One of my main annoyances is app switching. Having to hold down the home button just to bring up a menu of recently used apps isn't helpful imo.

I have Taskbar Switcher which puts a list of open apps into the pulldown shade (sorry not sure what it's called on android), and the best option I've sfound so far

The way I had it setup with iPhone was to only have open apps (not recently used apps) in the app switcher tray, and to use ZEPHYR to bring up this tray with a simple swipe up motion/gesture from bottom of the screen

If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve my app switching experience my ears are open, thanks!

Put the apps you use most often onto the homescreen?

There's an app called "AppSwipe" which might do what you want.

If you use Apex or Nova launcher you can set gestures on the homescreen such as swiping up to display the recently used apps list. It only works when you are on one of your homescreens though, not when you are using an application.

I'm not sure if theres a way to have universal gestures to do something like that.
