Market is starting to get flooded with em, it's hard to know what's what and what's best. Asus have 10 different iterations with the same friggin numbers.

Any thoughts on what's best?

If you like the idea of phone + tablet, get galaxy note. I gave away my tablet after using galaxy note for 1 month

Yeah I had the original Galaxy Note but it was just too cumbersome as a phone.

Looking for something I can load a bunch of HD movies on to for when I go away. Do a lot of flying, long haul and away around the country for work quite often, so want something for plane.

Yeah, I'd have to give my vote to a Nexus 7 as well if you're looking for something now... been using one for a while and no complaints

No votes for the Asus 300? Was playing with one earlier. Seemed nice.

Yes. I will vote for the TF300. Even though I have the TF101 I would recommend the Transformer series as long as you get the keyboard dock as well. The only drawback with the TF101 is its inability to play HD video properly. I dont believe that will be a problem for the 300 because it has a Tegra3 processor.

People might scoff, but i have a Ainol Aurora 2 7" tablet that does everything the nexus will do, plus hdmi and expandable memory and for us$129.00. Very happy with it and have had no problems, and at that price you are not to worried about taking it with you on your travels.

I would definitely put my 2 cents in for the asus tf300t. super versatile, fast access to OTA android updates and great hardware. Really great tablets all round.

But honestly, you can't throw a stick in any electronics store without hitting a tablet for that price range.

The lenovo 10" tablets are pretty good. Had a play with the lenovo thinkpad tablet (10.1", 16GB, ~$450) and it was pretty solid.

Whats that like for gaming?

Also does it support the official Play Store?
