I have an original Samsung Galaxy Mini (S5570) Android phone, which is pretty good value for a sub $200 smart phone, BUT, the FM radio keeps going on mute while I'm listening to it, and the media player keeps pausing too. There doesn't seem to be any particular reason for it and the amount of time I get to listen unimpeeded seems to vary. Some days are worse than others. Does anybody know if this is common with these phones? Maybe Samsung in general? Or Android? (I would personally doubt the latter two.) I've tried Google but I get a bunch of results showing people who can't get it off mute at all and that's not my issue. Also according to KIES I have the latest firmware (2.3.5) available. Thanks.

Have you made sure as many apps as possible are not running?

Could it be the headphones? I think the radio mutes/media player pauses when you remove the headphones, so could be a dodgy connection there?

Without closing any background apps and having the media player running just now there was between 34-38MB RAM spare. If you remove the headphones from this phone it kills the FM player rather than mutes it. It also happens when listening to the media player through bluetooth in the car. It's not a low battery either because it happens when the battery is full.
