Just wondering how many of us there are? I know I few of us jumped on the Warehouse deal a little while back.

Thought I would start this thread anyways, I guess if there are enough of us it'll survive, and it not it won't.

I reviewed the MediaPad recently here, something of a novelty reviewing something at the end of its commercial life...

...and I also wrote a (hopefully) noob-friendly guide for installing Jelly Bean here. If you just want to Root it, and don't care about Jelly Bean (as if!) then a guide for Rooting it is here.

I have to say I was already quite enthused about the MediaPad before a Jelly Bean ROM arrived, but it has really taken on a new lease of life with the availability of a virtually perfect CM10 ROM.

Anyone else taken the plunge and gone for Jelly Bean?

The lack of a functioning HDMI-out and a couple of other minor niggles is putting me off making the move to Jelly Bean.

No rush though. OsiMood is fine for now.

Why wait? This CM10 is perfect unless you MUST have HDMI. If that gets fixed in an update the CM10 build will be straight up superior to anything Huawei releases.

Also, last I heard Huawei had no plans to update the MediaPad to Jelly Bean?

I just lazy to flash my mediapad, cos i flashed my atrix 4g lot of time this month already.

According Huawei weibo(chinese version of FB), they are working to release next month(Hopefully).

I have one and (as per androidnz.net) have flashed CM10 onto it. It goes great on JB.

Update on my MediaPad on JB - no issues yet apart from the acknowledged ones. Still seeing how battery life is, standby seems commensurate with other ROMs and screen-on seems at least the same (possibly better but need more time with it to determine).

This thread pisses me off everytime i see it pop up :P Only because I was too damn slow to snap one up at such a bargain price!!

I am quietly hoping 2D might replace it with the Mediapad 10FHD, hi spec plus huawei's pricing could make it a great proposition

Indeed, the 10FHD looks really interesting. Pricing should be interesting too, although Huawei are moving away from very low-priced devices in their cream of the crop Android devices this year, it should still come in beneath similarly-specced competitors.
