Hey,

Bought the above phone for the missus and now want to connect to the home WiFi network so I can download stuff.

I have put in the correct password for connection and get a message saying 'Obtaining IP Address' then 'Remembered Secured with WEP' then 'Disabled, secured with WEP'. I'm not getting connected and what missus wants to play Angry Birds.

Anybody want to tell me what I am doing in a concise manner?

My Motorola Defy connects fine but I was over a year since I did that so I can't remember how.

Thanks,

Do you maybe have MAC address filtering turned on at the router? It seems to be authenticating ok.

Try using WAP rather than WEP.

If that doesn't work then try just using no encryption just to prove you can make the phone grab an IP at all.
