Hi there

My mother's after a new android phone and the Galaxy S2 is the one she's thinking about getting.

I was looking on the Vodafone website and it's on sale at the moment $499 vs $799 on Telecom and 2Degrees.

My question is - are these locked at all? She wants to put her 2Degrees SIM into it.

They won't be locked and should work perfectly fine with a 2Degrees SIM card.

thats a really good price for brand new S2, I really liked mine,be nice to have the hardware from the S3 transplanted :)

Just checked the buy price for our franchise. It looks like it has dropped across the board. I'm a bit confused with the pricing structure now, as no one will be buying the Ace Plus and S Advanced.

To mirror the other comments, they are excellent phones, and this is VERY good value.

I'd even be so bold to say that for most people looking for a Samsung Galaxy S model the Samsung Galaxy S II is the better option over Samsung Galaxy S III price vs function considered. NFC connection aside.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. As a current S2 owner I know what a great phone it is (although I do have S3 envy ;))

You could grab for $475 @ Warehouse stationary with pricematch -5%, best deal. This will work until they also lower their price to $499.

Although the s3 is now $799 on special at the warehouse which also is quite a good price.

The Galaxy Nexus at $515 (Pricespy) is really a better buy, nicer screen and no horrid Touchwiz nonsense, and will get more frequent updates. The camera on the Nexus is not that great though.
