The rumour mill is churning out more and more rumours about Nexus devices, with todays the most interesting:

http://androidandme.com/2012/10/news/rumor-nexus-program-to-see-huge-changes-lg-optimus-g-nexus-coming-in-november/

The LG Optimus G Nexus sounds like itd be an excellent device, even if the name is a mouthful.

But a Nexus Certification Programme sounds like a great way for stock android to get out there without the taint of manufacturer customization.

Bring on November!

Rumours of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 are quite interesting, just a small improvement in the specs but the main part for me is the MicroSD support! With any luck it'll be a feature in other Nexus phones as well, but I somehow doubt it.

Paul from Modaco reporting the LG device will look different to the optimus G, sport the same internals,  but only have 8 and 16gb options available initially.
If this is the case, sigh Google.

Looking forward for a Samsung galaxy nexus 2 that supports stock Android. I like the idea of the Nexus program.

LG are now making at least one excellent android phone. My LG Optimus 3D Max is the successor to the LG Optimus 3D.

The 3D Max performs like the Galaxy SII. I'm outrageously happy with the thing. If this is the way LG are going to be making their future Android phones, then I would seriously consider anything they make. They definitely need to improve their delivery of software updates.....but a Nexus branded device should not have that problem. Yes, some Nexus phones have been slow to update in the US, but they appear to be almost entirely CDMA phones via Verizon and Sprint.

I like the hardware of the recent LG models, they feel "solid".

The rumor of inductive charging support appeals to me.

By the way the article in the OP is the result of an elaborate hoax, next to nothing in there can be trusted.

Yeah that was confirmed to be false. The rumour that LG will have a nexus device however has popped up from other sources too however.

I read that Sony is also rumoured to be making a Nexus device.

Maybe Geekzone should start a rumour that the next Sony flagship phone will be code named Odin. :-)

Here you go for something a tad more concrete (well, as far as rumours go)

An "LG Nexus" device has shown up on CarPhone Warehouse's system, which is usually a good indication of an actual thing.

http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/10/3482664/lg-nexus-4-carphone-warehouse-listing

It doesn't tell us anything about the device itself though.

I'm not sure if the lack of MicroSD & limited storage is offset by the inductive charging.

Did you start this rumour then?Cool

Could make sense for Sony to be making a nexus device, might be part of the reason why they have been working with Google to make the Xperia S as an AOSP device.

I like the idea of the nexus certification program. My next phone will almost definitely be a nexus device, and it would be good to have more choice of hardware rather than just the single option.

Hmm I find this design to be a bit bland and seeing that my p990 optimus 2x lasted 3 months until it told me it needed to upgrade then died, i will leave this phone right alone.

Same, next phone is definitely going to be a Nexus.
