Yesterday my Yahoo mail stopped on my Telecom S3.

Have deleted the account many times,  rebooted, set it up automatically (just email address and password) as well as manually using a variety of settings for POP/ and Ports x google.

Same result - get a picture of my email as of Thursday evening.  Yahoo working on computer ok. gmail working on S3 ok.

I would prefer not loading the yahoo mail app (Had poor reviews)  or forwarding my yahoo mail to gmail (I use  the yahoo account for private mail and Gmail for business mail).

Was happy with the way the std mail app on the S3 server Yahoo.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Thanks

Alan

1. is it mail from yahoo.com? afaik you need to be a yahoo mail plus subscriber to use POP3.

2. i use yahoo mail app and i think it is excellent, never had any issue.

Yep - mail from yahoo.com.

Has been working ok since I got the S3 a few moths ago, so not sure why I would need yahoo plus all of a sudden.

Will look at yahoo mail app if necessary.....but hate having to change when I do not understand the reason.

You would be best to contact yahoos support as only they will really know, and they can test it for you too, to tell you if the problem is at their end or your end.

Gave up and installed the Yahoo App.  It works fine....but annoying that the native mail client worked with Yahoo for 3 months then issues.

Maybe IMAP would be better as I've not had a problem with Yahoo mail for ages.

In Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 993

Out Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465

Thanks for the responses.

Have got used to the Yahoo Mail app, and must admit it is better than the native S3 mail client for Yahoo.

No issues since install.
