Hi All

Looking for some advice on which tablet I should get.

like the price of the Samsung Tab 2 but the spec are to me just average.

So it kinda looks like a choice between the new Samsung Note or the Asus TF300
They are both around the same price for wifi only models which I would be fine with.

The Asus should be able to get Jellybean now which is a plus the keyboard seem a bonus
but not sure how often we would use it

It will be used by the family to watch movies play games surf the net, check emails etc
I liked the Nexus 7 but the family has decided a 10inch would be best.
So is there a tablet I have missed, dont really want a cheap trademe type one.

So any help/advice would be great

Cheers
Karl

So that's a full Win8 PC, not RT? Looks good.

Had a quick play with a Galaxy 10.1 on the weekend, almost had me considering trading in my iPad. Front speakers were great, and the screen and speed was pretty impressive.  Surely that would have to be the Android tablet du jour?

Announcement on the 29th, not sure about availability after that point. I would definitely wait until the announcement at least, only a few days and then you'll be able to make an informed decision knowing what the major players will be in the tablet market for the next wee while.

It's looking like the Nexus 10 is going to have a significantly higher resolution screen than other Android tablets, so I think it is likely to be the one to get, even apart from the benefits of being a Nexus device.

If you just cannot wait this weekend out and decide to buy a tablet right now, I think you may experience a fair degree of buyers remorse come Monday...

Ok yes I can wait till Monday, Last time I looked there was no real news on the nexus 10
I really liked the Nexus 7 so will get some ice to ease the burning sensation for now.

I got my parents a TF300, if you want something with integrated keyboard it's really good value at $780 @ DSE. If you don't need a keyboard then I think the galaxy note 10" is really nice.
