I have a Galaxy S2 which I recently updated 4.0.1 OTA. When I open My Apps in the Play Store, if it shows some updates and I am at home, the updates will not download over my WiFi. They just show 'downloading' for ever and time out. However, if I am at work and connected to my employer's WiFi, updates will download. This problem arose recently but before I upgraded the OS to 4.0.1.

I have googled the hell out of this and not come up with a solution that works. Have tried deleting and reinstalling my google account, clearing data and cache in Play Store under Settings > Applications.

Would welcome advice or ideas.

Thanks. I should have added above that all other WiFi operations (email, internet etc) on the phone are working OK. It's even telling me when apps need updating - it just won't update them.

However will certainly give your idea a try.

I've had the same thing in the past on a device...and "forgetting" that access point and setting it up again did fix it.

Might not work in every case, but it's worth a try.
