If you haven't already, you should give SwitftKey Flow beta a trial run.

It's a keyboard like Swype, but with much better predictions. It still has a number of small issues, but it's pretty amazing. Most people who have tried it seem to love it.

Just an FYI for those that haven't seen/heard of it and might find it much easier to type on Android with it.

I installed this last night and love it. I can't go back to a regular keyboard now after using Swype, but have already found that I'm liking this a lot more.

Using it since last night, seems very polished at this beta stage. From my Twitter timeline seems like most Swype users are changing over. If I were the makers of Swype I'd be very worried.

Thanks for the great share. I've been using the original SwiftKey app for yonks and am very happy with it, but this looks very very promising.

Ive installed it on mine and so far Im liking it over slideit which Ive been using for a good while! Seems quicker and definately more accurate at this stage.

As a longtime swiftkey user, loss of swipe to backspace makes flow unusable for me. Still a neat concept.
I'd be nice if you swiped from backspace to delete, or it detected you were tapping rather than using flow and therefore backspaced your word.

I've never used the swipe backwards to delete :) I'll take improved predictions any day.

Well after using it for most of today (so around 20 txt msgs and a few emails) Im really liking it over slideit. Its far more responsive. Few little niggles I dont like but in general its positive. And far more accurate!

Is this going to replace the regular swiftkey? I ave installed it, and it seems like it is swiftkey and also flow all in one program. It is really cool. I remember there was an IOS app similar to this, but it didn't work anywhere near as well.

It beats out 4.2 Android keybaord and Swype in my opinion.

The only issues I have are that you cannot use flow in non-prediction fields ie chrome address bar (which I use a lot for googling things)

Been using swype for awhile now - it's been great apart from the last few updates creating issues, so i guess now is a perfect time to checkout the alternatives! Looks promising so far.

Any of you tried TouchPal? It even imports your contacts and txt messages for better prediction. I find it to be very good although now I might give Swiftkey a shot for comparison ;)

Yes that is the same with the normal swift key. It is the only negative it has. I don't know where the fault with that lies.

I started with the swipe support in the HTC Sense keyboard, which I loved, then graduated to Swype, which was streets ahead of that. Definitely keen to give this one a go.

I've been using the Swype beta for a while now and it's been great.

Just installed SwiftKey Flow, and I have to say, it seems like Swype should definitely be very worried.
Flow seems very accurate, and also a lot more responsive than Swype.
This is probably going to stay my default keyboard for the foreseeable future.

EDIT: Another advantage over Swype is that you don't have to create an account, and then download the installer APK, try to remember your Swype beta login details, and then download the actual Swype APK.

All you have to do with Flow is download the APK, and then follow the prompts inside the app to install it. Much easier.
