Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there is much difference in an HTC ONE Vodafone version and the HTC One Telecom XT version?

I mean, in terms of the LTE bands that are included. I realise that XT uses a different band and VF uses different ones, but does anyone know if I get the XT version, will this be fully functional in Vodafone.

Interested to know as well. Noel Leeming has it on 20% discount right now for their Easter Promo! Just $799 - what a steal. It's the Telecom version.

I am sure it's compatible on Vodafone's 3G network. Like you I am curious about 4G.

Oh man, will have to check this out. Although I'm not super sure how I feel about moving from a Gnex to a non stock android phone. 1080P display and for $800 is amazing...

Is this phone currently in stock?

I am moving from a GN to a new phones as well. I wanted better battery, better camera, better processing power.

I am weary of the skinned version of android, but sense 5 isnt all that bad. I was looking at going the S4 route, but at 800 big ones...it got me thinking...

The phone is slated to be released next week...

Not in stock. Check out the HTC One thread. Somebody yesterday said Telecom would be selling it from Wed 3rd April, then somebody else later in the day said it wont launch until May

Great. now we need someone from Telecom to confirm which bands does the HTC one work on.

Remember that the Nexus 4 is $639 currently at NL.  I guess it would be good to feel them side by side.  Amazing hardware on the HTC but with the buttons being arranged weirdly and the power button at the top the usability could be compromised.

I am sure you will find they are the same handset / hardware but software could be different (EG not confirmed) 4G / LTE disabled

I wouldnt go for Nexus 4 - battery life is average and comparable to the GN. But if they had a pure droid phone with the specs of S4 or even the One, i would think about that. There is no going back from Pure droid - it actually is the best.

But anyways, getting back on topic, ya i did think the HTC One's button placements are a bit awkward and weird - but i thought the same for the on screen touch buttons for the GN. I got used to it and I am sure I will get used to the HTC one.

Ya i think that all the One phones that will be in the NZ market should pretty much be the same phone, but not worth taking the risk right?

I called Noel Leeming and that the rep I talked to said that it was an error with the website and the discount doesn't apply to preorders. That said he wasn't 100% sure as he had just emailed his management.
