It's not trolling. It's a valid concern. Or aren't you worried about downloading an app from a third party web site and getting some malware in the process?

Interesting, I cleared app data on the Play Store to see if that prompted the update - it didn't, but Google Music is now there on the old app store.

It's not due for rollout AFAIK so clearing data wouldn't/shouldn't trigger anything.
