I had a 16GB microsd in my S3

I noticed that each time when putting down the phone, even if it gets the slightest of bumps it displayed a message saying microsd removed unexpectedly and then it would start scanning it again and then redisplay the contents. Its been doing that for quite sometime now.

And since last weekend it says microsd corrupted and unable to read from it

So I took it out and put into its SD Adapter and tried to format it using windows but I cannot even format it.
Quick format or Full / long format, both fail

Has anyone else faced this issue of the microsd ejecting and then remounting when the phone gets a bump..

I will most likely put in another microsd coming weekend.. waiting for some deals on ANZAC Day to get another microsd for my phone.

I have a bad feeling that with the phone doing the eject & remount all the time even a new microsd wont have a long life

Hmmm - I am having a similar issue, but not every time it is bumped. But when I do notice it happening it has just had a bump!

do a full backup of all the contents of your card.. while you can

Mine was basically storage for all my photos and my handset is set to do online backup of all photos to drop box so I didnt lose much..

Mine is not that sensitive, but I have notices on a few occasions the warning about SD card removal.

Other than the odd photo being saved to the phone memory instead of the SD card, I've not seen any issues with it.

Yeah same as I didnt think much of it.. but maybe mine was the odd one out..

Its however a good idea to set the option to upload to dropbox as you take fotos.. so you dont lose much

I have had the same issue with my S3 and also have an Apacer 32Gig sd card from Pbtech. I have had the card unmounted warning 3-4 times after a bump but has come right but twice have had the card corrupted. Both times before the card has failed I have noticed that 1-2 photos that were ok have developed a grey stripe through them. Shortly after this card fails completely. At least I am able to reformat card and it comes right. I also auto backup photos to dropbox but I think I will try a new card as this is getting annoying.
