I tried rooting my Galaxy S2 by this guide http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/445008/20130312/galaxys2-i9100-root-android412-jellybean-install-clockworkmod.htm
I don't know whether I disconnected the usb cable to soon and the laptop that I was doing it on wanted to reboot after installing Samsung software.

So I now have phone which won't boot if I take the battery out and turn on it shows the Samsung screen with yellow triangle error message and then goes off so nothing.

Hope its not bricked can anyone help please?

I can't seem to get into that link so don't know what method you have used or how far through installation.

Did you get root access ?? if so were you installing firmware when it rebooted

Yes I've tried that and nothing seems to happen.

if you still can't get into download you'll need a usb jig to get into download so you can reflash firmware or recovery.

What town are you in I have one somewhere but I'm in Auckland

If you can't get into download mode, then the phone's pretty much fuchrucked!

You must have got into download mode to complete the steps on that page though.

Will not not get into download mode again? Don't have a cable plugged in or anything.

It's unlikely you totally stuffed it - unless you flashed some file to it that wasn't one of the ones listed.

I can get into recovery mode and I’ve tried CWM-based recovery v6.0.2.7

Tried Wipe data/factory reset which didn’t work

Do I have to install a zip file with to boot loader on etc

Unsure what to do next.

I have recovered an s2 by putting cm9 on the ad card and then from recovery flashing it as update.zip, thus gets out going and then you can go back to the Rom you wanted or restore your backup assuming you did one. What town are you in?

Do I apply update from .zip = choose zip from sdcard?
I can get the zip file onto micro sd card through my wifes phone then put the card into the Samsung
Can I load the jeboo_kernel_i9100 .zip which is the one that I was trying to load in odin and it went wrong.

Hand it to someone who speaks german :)

or navigate using icons to the language setting and change it )black square with an A on it). Though if it was factory reset it should ask for a language setup. Unless its german based kernel already.

Translate tells me it will be similar to Sprache und Eingabe
