I have a planned upgrade to the HTC One later this year, but for now I am still using the Sensation, with all stock software. A couple of weeks ago it started doing something that is becoming really annoying...

I work in a team of one, so have a nice corner with Wellington harbour views all to myself. As there's nobody else in the immediate vicinity to annoy, I often have quiet music on in the background while I'm working. Sometimes I listen to the radio, but mostly I play my own music from the phone. The phone is connected via stereo mini jack cable from the headphone socket to a small radio that has a stereo auxiliary input, and the music player is usually on shuffle. I usually have the phone connected to my work desktop via USB as well, just to keep the battery charged.

Over the last few weeks, the music player will stop playing after a random (usually short, e.g. 2 or 3) number of tracks. It will play a few tracks all the way through (i.e. it doesn't stop mid-song) then just not start playing the next track. Anyone else experienced anything like this? Any ideas on how to stop it happening?

Still having this problem?

I moved on from the stock rom over a year ago and it was the best thing I could have ever done. Heaps of the problems I was having (I was looking for a new phone then) were completely sorted from changing.

But that's not gonna help ya now Laughing

If the problem is still happening, I agree to try a new player. Personally I use Google and don't have any issues.

Does the music start back up after a while if you just left it? Is the music just paused or has the player closed or anything like that?

It's certainly an interesting one. I know my music player was stopping randomly as well but that was due to the ROM I was using not the player.

I know the stock ROM has issues but never heard of anything like this.
