Hi All,

I have a LG Optimus L9 (P768) that I want to install CM 10.x.x on.  Issue is, CM only have official support for the LG Optimus L9 (P760) version.

Long story short, everything on the P760 CM 10 ROM works fine on the P768 except the camera (5MP on the P760 and 8MP on the P768)

Any easy way to get the camera to work?
Anyone able to compile a unofficial CM build for the P768? (it all seems well above me!)
Can I add the camera driver to the ROM once installed without having to make my own ROM?

I have tried geeking it up on XDA and the likes, but building my own custom ROM is out of my depth.

Welcome any ideas or feedback!

Cheers

I just had a quick look at XDA and found this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365130

Which says it's compatible with the P768 model. I don't have one of these phones so I haven't tried this rom, but it's the only one I've found so far that says it is compatible (There could be more, I only spent about 5 minutes looking)

I'll update this thread if I find anything else.

Edit - I just saw that this isn't cyanogenmod based, it's stock based with a few tweaks so I'm not sure how suitable it will be.

I would guess that the P768 has quite a different camera module to the P760. This means that it needs a different driver to work with the camera, and that won't be available in the P760 ROM.

There isn't an easy answer here. The only thing that will work is for someone to add the necessary driver code, and I'm not sure how many folks around here have that sort of knowledge. You can ask on XDA whether anyone there is able to help, and hopefully someone will come through.
