Just purchased a Google Nexus 7, the new model.

Fantastic device, I've had iPads, Asus tablets, Samsung tablets and this Nexus is the one I'm most impressed with.

I do have a small issue though. In dark conditions when the screen is showing black colours I can see some red and green smudges. I would best describe the red smudge as a small ball about 2-3mm in size and with a tail similar to a comet.

The green smudge is not quite as bad.

I cant see these during the day, only in a dark room or at night.

I have tried a few pixel visit apps without success.

What are your thoughts, should I RMA it and try for a better one?

I purchased it through Computer Lounge who have been very good to deal with thus far.

Take it to Computer Lounge and ask for a replacement.

Tablet is now on it's way back to Computer Lounge.

The RMA process is done online and within 30 minutes of filling it out I had an email with instructions including a courier collecting it from my address at their cost, couldn't ask for more than that really.

Hopefully the next one will be perfect!

Any chance of a mini-review for the Nexus 7?
