I've just fired up the Play Store on my Note II, there's a new blue 'Books' tab. Clicking on it allows you to look at books available, there's even a section called 'New Zealand Reads'.

However looking at any title it comes up with a message saying it isn't available. No pricing is listed either.

Anyone else getting the same?

Hopefully Movies & TV come soon too!

Just got the update too. Pricing is shown and the option to buy (not tried it)

Also have updates to Gmail, hangouts and possibly others

Anybody know how Google books works? Can you download them to another ereader, kindle or kobo etc or do you have to view them over a google device?

Yep, 3 old books like Frankenstein and Pride and Prejudice and Wonderful stories for children.
