So assuming it's possible to get one of these someday, would either of the Verizon LTE ot AT&T LTE models work on Vodafone 4G LTE here ? They do look super nice :-)

I had a kindle HD Fire and i was just about to buy another form DSE on special when I saw the ad on mashable close call!!
Now wonder when the international version will be up?

Yah I am seriously considering one. Hopefully someone is going to the USA and I can ask them to grab me one in November when the new kindle comes out.

LOL Oh for the days when I was at Air NZ everyday someone was coming back! but then I would still have to be working ......

I've been fortunate I have 3 clients happy to bring stuff back that travel at least annually, I am there at least once a year, but sometimes it can be 6 months between visits!

Here in NZ we're mostly using bands 3 and 28 for LTE, with Telecom making some use of band 7. In the US, AT&T are using bands 4, 17, 29 and 30, and Verizon are using bands 4 and 13.

There is a slight possibility that the LTE will work here despite the frequency differences. I just wouldn't count on it.
