Hi all,

We were given this phone, but it has a fault: when you squeeze the lower part of the phone (as in holding it a little tight is enough) it acts as if you had tapped on the screen. It often makes calls that way. It is definitely a hardware fault. Internet search shows that it is a common fault, too.

Q: can this be fixed and if so, is it worth spending the $$ on it, seeing it has got very little memory?

Thanks in advance,
Peter.

I think you have answered your own question, given the cost to repair or even look at it and what you can now buy maybe it isn't worth fixing. The Desire S was first released in Early 2011 and technology has moved a long way in that time, personally I would give it back.

Thanks Jeff. I was hoping that there was a simple fix for a common fault, but I suspect it's the circuit board, in which case it's history.

Cheers,
Peter.
