I was just introduced to the LG Flex here in Wellington:

Nothing much to add, except that it's a beautiful screen and it looks great. I got a LG G2 to use for the next week or so...

So, the Flex is a 6" with 720p screen, and the G2 is 5.2" with 1080p screen, right? Do you notice that much of a quality difference in displays?

Not really but that was a few minutes with the Flex, indoors. I have the G2 here and I really want to use it outdoors - very disappointed with the Samsung S4 during the weekend. I found out my Nokia Lumia 1020 has a brilliant screen that leaves the S4 miles behind when it comes to outdoor use.

Jealous. So does a 6" device feel that much bigger to you? I feel I could go a bit bigger than the Note 3 and still be ok.

Not bigger really. Much easier on the eye than smaller screens.

It's an intersting concept, the flexing, did you get to actually flex it at all? What did that feel like?

You don't "flex" it - it's curved by design and never gets straight...

As for the G2 it's pretty interesting but support for LTE is disabled somehow (as I tested with a Telecom 4G SIM). I enabled the option via service menus, but it should really be on the phone by default as it is not locked to any operator.

Asked LG, will post when I find out more.

I received the phone from LG. The phone had 4G disabled. Pretty good screen and it works fine. The button in the back was a bit strange. I've sent the phone back this week. There are other G2 users around here now who can give their impressions.

I've had one for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it. The screen is brilliant, the camera the best on a phone outside of the Nokia beasts. Fast, quick, fluid. Great battery life. Recommend a case though as it can be a little slippery.

I got mine from einfotech.
