Does anyone know of anyway to reliably record both receiving and sending audio on your droid? I'm aware of the legal ramifications around recording calls however this is a functionality that I now require.

I'm guessing the app in the play store titled Call Recorder might be a starting point.

nah mate, had a fiddle with a bunch of them on the store nothing seems to catch both incoming and outgoing audio.
Its all one way for me either only incoming or only outgoing. So that is why I was wondering if anyone on here had gotten it working natively with their device.

What device? Some seem to work fine recording both audio directions some don't. Is it the Note3 in your sig? Haven't tried that. Automatic Call Recorder works on my S4.

I used one of the ones on the store (can't remember the name sorry) and found while it did record a. incoming and b. outgoing, you had to set the priority for either a or b. The recording for the one which wasn't priority was rubbish. There was a 'pro' version available (as there is a for a number of the variants of these apps) but I wasn't going to waste my money off the back of what I'd experienced.

What 'legal ramifications' are you referring to? It's perfectly legal to record both your incoming and outgoing calls.* Whether you advise the other party or not is a courtesy which you may, or may not, decide to extend.

Do you have a 2Talk account by any chance?

EDIT: nakedmolerat and Inphinity - this quick search throws up two different apps. Which one/s are you using?

EDIT 2: *as long as you are a party to those calls! Just make sure you abide by the principles outlined in Part 2 of the Privacy Act 1993. The definition of "Agency" within the meaning of this Act is defined under section 2 - Interpretation.

I've found TotalRecall works well on my S3 except when I'm on handsfree (bluetooth) when it doesn't record my side of the conversation...)-:

The legality I'm referring to are what is and isn't admissible in legal cases for business and personal uses. As you have said that for personal use it is at your discretion as to whether you decide to advise the other party that the call is being recorded. Only one party need be aware that it is being recorded and that party can be you. It is however entirely different for business use. you must inform the other party that the call may or may not be recorded that is all.

If you remember the name of that app please let me know, I have tried different ROMs previously on different devices that supposedly offer native call recording however they couldn't deliver either and for a device that is supposedly the "bees knees" I would have thought it should have the opportunity to record calls.
