Hi Guys

Im wondering if anyone in NZ has received the OTA 4.3 update for their Note 2 (n7100t)

Also does anyone have much experience with rooting and flashing this phone, Can you use roms developed for the n7100 international version?

I have a bit of experience rooting other handsets but decided to stay with stock on my note since im so happy with its performance at the moment. Saying that the wait for 4.3 is killing me now that the US has got it now and still no sign from Telecom. Im starting to get very itchy thinking about flashing to a custom 4.4 rom. Has anyone done this with the NZ note 2 and what were your experiences?

If the Note 2 is anything like the GS2, you should be able to flash the N7100 international firmware without any issue. The only thing you might need to watch is that the original Telecom modem firmware will probably work better than what comes with the US ROM.

Certainly look into custom firmware. I started using CyanogenMod on my GS2 and found it hard to go back to TouchWiz. Then again, I'm a power user so my experience may not be the same as yours.

Well it looks as though 4.3 is now available via Kies, installing now.....
