Hi Everyone.

I lost my HTC one in October last year. I use android Device Manager to locate the handset prior to this date.

I lost the device an it was immediately turned off/Flat Battery.

After loosing the device i would check android device manager on a weekly basis to see if someone would turn it on for me to locate (long shot). I have had no luck with this. Usually says last used last in October and cant locate.

I checked ADM today and the HTC One had been removed from my list of handsets... It shows my prior handset so i dont think it expires with no use.

Do you think that someone is now using it and most likely signed it to another Google account hence the removal from mine?

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You could have reported it lost to Police and had the IMEI blocked. This would make it of no use to anyone else.

I agree. Have reported this to the police already, however they wont do much aside call me if this turns up. I can block the imei however there's more chance of locating while its on a network.

Looking for alternatives. Does anyone know the ability of the network providers to locate a handset lost like this if i Proof of Purchase etc.

If someone reset the handset and put in a new SIM card then you can't find it anymore.

Networks COULD find the handset if the SIM card is on account but they won't tell YOU anything (privacy, etc) and will only really do anything if the police gets involved and actively gets things moving.

Seriously, I don't think you have a chance to get it back. Block it.
