possible have an LG e975 on 2d. I have a pattern lock touchscreen. .. data is turned when I was out. .. also when I turned off and on the phone then gor email notifications. on prepay with no data package so it's usually off

I assume you meant that 3G data turned itself on while away from your Wifi - did you happen to do any updates before leaving your wifi ? If so, one of them may have enabled 3G data.
