for the past few weeks the weather channel on the google news and weather app has been throwing out some real corkers for nz locations

eg. ice/snow warnings, freezing rain, blowing snow etc.

HAHA Where in the country are you? I have seen all that stuff here. You know the saying, if you don't like the weather in Auckland, wait half an hour.

I've turned it off because it was too inaccurate.

Buy the metservice app then use the live wigget, it's very good and worth the money.

I saw that today on my sony xperia tablet.
Something like Snow I think it said - it updated itself later - but it was way wrong!

Think it was showing the correct temp though.
