Hello,

My father in law has a samsung galaxy tab 3, and I am unable to stream music from the tab to the Onkyo Nr515.

I have downloaded the samsung all share link app but that does not find the receiver.

There is an app on there (peel remote or something) that recognises the tv, receiver and blu ray player so its not the home network.

I have the onkyo app but it's pretty lame (esp streaming music).

I thought that you should be able to open any photo or music app on the tab and then share to device etc (guess I was wrong).

Any help would be greatly appreciated as Im out of ideas.

Thanks

I've got the same receiver, I can't get windows to detect it, but it works from the Samsung all share app on my galaxy s4. You can only share audio anyway so out of luck with photo's or videos. If you were lucky enough like me to buy it from JB then that version doesn't have Apple AirPlay either.

No idea why your app doesn't connect, try upgrading the firmware on the device, and don't forget to power cycle it too for good measure, mine occasionally locks up for no reason.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'll have a look at the firmware situation, hopefully that will solve the issue.

If not, I'm wondering if there is an (free) app that would do it.

power cycle!? I have a look into that as well.

Thanks

I had a look today. The firmware is up to date. I updated the samsung all share app, that didnt work.

I reset the Tab, that didnt work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Or alternatively, a decent app that can read all his albums and send to the receiver? with functions eg queuing tracks, create playlist etc.
