Hey guys,

Have finally been able to update to the latest OS for Android... Android 4.3

Ive got the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. This updates been long awaited!

Its only been 4 days & im finding essential features missing that were there before the update!

there are some great features, and also just updated to the new S-Note tonight, excited about that :)

The settings tabs are great, im still finding my way through new features

But I am concerned & annoyed that some features that are essential to the Note 2 that are now suddenly gone!

...................

*Multi-Window - the side bar tab that shows the multi-window apps is nowhere to be found. When I check in the the Pull-Down Notification Bar I can see that multi-window is selected (in green), but its shaded over so it cant be selected to turn off/on

*Pop Up window is gone - i use that all the time for links in emails & facebook! wth??!

*Occasionally the home screen apps 'flicker' for a second when the phone is taken off lock/sleep

*Photos - normally when looking at a photo, you can hit 'menu' & lots of options show up, normally at the bottom of the list is 'details' - its gone! the 'details' option just isnt there anymore - i use that feature all the time.

*In Settings/More/About Device - most info in there now is viewable but greyed out - not a biggy but  it wasnt like that before

Im really keen to hear what others have to say, have you found issues? have you found a way to fix them?
any feedback or issues you are having would be good to hear!!

📱 - I love Big Phones & I can not lie! #notelove

Got this update about a week ago and hadn't noticed any issues. Just tested all of the above and found that the only thing I can replicate is the grayed out info if the About Device menu.

Multi-Window is still present (but I can't seem to move the tab along the side of the screen anymore). Pop Up Window works fine. Haven't seen any flicker of the home screen apps. Just checked with a few photos and found that the details option came up and provided all the same info as before.

All in all it seems very much the same as before except for a few UI changes and the splitting of the settings. Everything that worked before seems to work. Nice to see some changes with the lock screen, while I'm not so fussed on the changes to the default text and email apps.

I've had similar issues with my S3.

Multiwindow still works (if the bar isn't at the side you long press the back key to bring it up).
About device has bits greyed out (like you say, that doesn't really matter).
Also: I can't change the notification sound for texts any more.  It just stays greyed out.  I was able to reset it to the default, but now can't change it at all.  Can still change ringtones for calls though.  Grr.
