Today I got a message that there's updates to my applications from Samsung Apps, in the notifications panel.

I clicked on it and saw that:

Samsung Hub
Samsung Link, and
Evernote

have updates.

Just one thing...

I'm sure that I never installed Evernote from Samsung Apps. All the applications that I downloaded have come from the Google Play store (deliberate choice). Evernote looks the same and is logged in to the server with my regular account. No 'updates' for it are on the G Play store. I thought it might be a bug, but it seems that this has happened to someone else.

Has anyone got any idea what may be going on here? What are the implications if you install an app on one store then install an "update" from another? Suppose you nuke your phone, what will happen when you need to restore your apps? Suppose you decide to change brands, what will happen to the "updated" apps?

Or is this some common thing that everybody else knows about but not me?

Apparently I need to figure out the forum controls, I thought I had inserted a link to someone asking about the same thing on another forum.

Here's the link:

aren't they just integrated into Samsung phones with evernote being playstore.

.Your apps will go with your google login so regardless of what phone you get as long as its android you just use the login and they will be there for you to download and the ones there will update.
