I don't know the answer, but be thankful. Unless you want enterprize security for your work email and such knox is a pain in the butt in some cases. Though knox is partly firmware, partly app, so you may have the firmware but not the app.

What is it you want knox for?

as per what Tim said but here is some info on it. Not sure how you will try it out though. To the majority of us it will mean nothing, unless you like tinkering and flashing custom Roms then it will have an impact as once you get root access you trip Knox that shows you have rooted the device and warranty is void.

I hope you don't mind the hijack
Have you done it OTA?
I have just checked SamMobile and there is no 4.3 available for NZ.

You can't really "try it out" unless you have an account to manage the device. It's not something for consumers, but enterprise.

I had lunch last week with Samsung NZ and the Samsung VP for Enterprise, here in Wellington, where we all had a demo of Knox.

There is a Personal and Enterprise version of KNOX.

The personal version of KNOX enables individuals to activate KNOX on their own device. Whereas the enterprise version is a paid model with KNOX licensing, the personal version is free.

Yes, but it's not what they're focusing at the moment here in New Zealand.
