Galaxy Note 8.  We have 2, mine is working fine.  But my wife has suddenly stopped connecting to internet.

I have uninstalled all updates to all apps
I have cleared all caches where I could
I have restarted.

It connects fine to wifi. But only the internet app connects to the internet.  When it does, it often bleats about security certificates.
Other apps such as Trademe, google, mail, facebook and firefox just do not connect anymore.

Note that mine still works, so there is nothing wrong with the router etc.

Any ideas anyone ?

Its fixed.

I can not be absolutely sure, but I think that it was the date - it was frozen to the date it had stopped working on.

When I fixed the date, it suddenly burst into wifi life.

Bugger, now I have to reinstate all data that I cleared.

Samsung devices are good at these things. The S4 is AMAZING at telling you your WiFi connection is unstable then disabling it. Another good one is that LTE just doesnt exist anymore and gives up on life.
