Currently got a Nexus 5 which I really like but find size to big.

Was looking at getting a Moto X as they cheap on Amazon currently.

But wondering will it work on a Vodafone sim which I have in Nexus. Also can it do 4g in NZ

Make sure the handset supports Band3 1800Mhz FDD LTE for 4G access

I remember when I originally looked at this phone it was no good for 4G in NZ, however they have sinced released a variation for the European market which you may find more suitable, but check out the support as JohnR has mentioned first.

You'll need the European variant of which that isn't

The US variants' 4G bands will never work in NZ.

You can pick up the international Moto X locally for ~$599 now, which should be just fine.
