Hi All,

I have a Galaxy S4 and a Alpine car stereo.

To enable music to come out through the stereo I brought a Logitech Bluetooth to audio "dongle" ala:

http://www.logitech.com/en-nz/product/bluetooth-audio-adapter

This works perfectly for music, and when I got the unit it was a breeze to setup.

To my surprise it also routed phone calls out through the car speaker, and presumably my voice was picked up by the phones microphone. AWSOME!

But after a few days ONLY music would stream via the Bluetooth to the stereo.

When I went into Settings -> Bluetooth -> Logitech Adapter on the phone I saw that the profile is "Media Audio" - normally I would expect to see a "Call Audio" for phone calls.

Now if it wasn't for the fact that it did work initially I would have not thought it was possible to get phone calls through the Logitech Adapter, as on the face of it, it only supports "Media Audio" - but clearly phone calls are possible.

The million dollar question is how to make it work again?

I cant think of anything I might have done to stop it working in the first place.

Cheers

-Al

Settings -> Bluetooth, tap the cog to the right of the bluetooth device, and there should be tickboxes for which audio profiles to use it for.

Hi,

Thanks, but there is only one profile listed - and the tick is there (Media Audio).

I guess I need a way to route Phone call to A2DP?

The other thing I find crazy about not getting phone call audio is that every other bloody beep the phone makes seems to come through speakers .....why not voice!

Have you tried deregistering, resetting, etc? If it worked once, it might again if you set it all up from scratch. Maybe some setting in the head unit needs to be changed?

yes this usually works for me when my vehicles bluetooth gets screwed up (for some reason bta stops sometimes) and this is the easiest way, just unpair the device and reconnect
