Got a few good months out of my Nexus 5 but it's taken to blackscreening when moved away from ear during call or just when it feels like it in use (there's a pattern I expect but haven't spotted it yet).

Bought it from Warehouse Stationery ~ 6mo ago.

Factory reset, just kept on doing it. Leaving device alone for unspecified period and it resets OK.

Behaviour seems consistent with proximity sensor getting the wrong idea. Interested to know if anyone recognises behaviour and/or has experience of taking back to WSL for return/replace?

Oh yeah, before and after factory reset it was doing this great janky thing when on lockscreen, would bounce vertically by 50px* at rapid frame rate. Didn't go away when "Force GPU rendering" was enabled. Pretty sure it's done it a couple times since reset last night.

EDIT: * Actual product may not be to scale.

My Samsung got dust behind the glass on the prox sensor. It caused a few glitches. I dismantled my phone and cleaned the dust out. All is well now.

WSL replaced it. I enjoyed the moto g loaner and missed the Motorola app which silences my phone during scheduled meetings.

Couple of weeks late I've cracked my screen. Deciding whether to spend 250$ to repair a $400 phone. Life's hard.
