Hi Guys
I'm setting up a brand new Samsung Tab4
I setup 2 pop3 email a/c's using the standard email client (the std email client Samsung loaded ?)

Emails are disappearing, almost instantly . They arnt being deleted, they arnt in the deleted folder, they arnt in the other pop a/c
The first test email went missing after I read it, then an email from someone else came in & disappeared within 5minutes , it hadnt been read.
The 2nd test email I sent is there(inbox) , but now Im a bit worried.
This makes the device worthless if email is buggy. It was bought solely for email use.
I looked at the settings, its set to show 25 emails. its set NOT to delete from server (that shouldnt matter with this issue)

Im seeing posts with similar issues on other forums (could just be FUD of course)
Is this a known issue with the std (Samsung) email client.
Should I just use Aquamail instead ? (I have used that for a year on my ph with no issues)

Are the emails being delivered to another computer? If so, when they are delivered to the other computer, is that other computer set to delete the emails off the server?

freitasm: Are you sure the Inbox view is not filtered?

Not that I can see.
Ive been through all the settings. An unread email shouldnt be hidden regardless.

There is a 'sync' tickbox for pop3 , not that pop3 can truly sync anyway. I guess thats just to auto download email ?

This is pop3, once downloaded it doesnt matter what happens on the server. Once downloaded onto the ph they shouldnt dissapear
Or is the "sync" setting removing emails from the ph once marked as deleted from the server (or marked as read)

OK Problem solved.

Install K9 mail.
emails are now retained.

Im guessing that when the Samsung email client detected emails were deleted off the pop server, it decided to also delete them from the phone
There was no setting to turn that off .
Made it useless if you wanted to take the Tab offsite somewhere, only to find the email with the needed attatchment was no longer on the ph.
