My S5 has a scratch on the screen, which is only visible when a finger print is over it. It's annoying me, though it doesn't affect functionality.

$240 + GST is the quote to repair it and leave the warranty intact.

I am considering selling it, and hoping I get enough for it, that it's less than the $240 to upgrade to a new one?

I got a glass screen protector and its great, maybe try one of those it may hide the scatch, young guy at Gadgets online did a good job of putting mine on but cost $39

on a side 'note' I'm seriously thinking of the Note 4 this year. Whilst the S5 is really nice and I love the screen I think its time for a change.

Yah I am seriously thinking about the note4. I can't decide if I dislike the edge or not. I have also been seriously considering the LG G3.

I have a HTC One M8 on my desk which I do really like, however the issue I have is the lack of the Samsung home button. I really hate giving up my screen real estate to buttons.

I'm the same the Galaxy series has more screen real estate and I'm really used to it now.

Only thing about the Edge is the way I hold the phone it would cause all sorts of grief . The G3 has too small a battery to power the QHD screen from what I've read.

Exactly the same concerns I have.

One thing that the HTC has over the Samsung, is the font they use. It's so readable and pleasant to look at, and the backgrounds by default are really spectacular. The HTC Wizard is maybe the best thing I've seen in a long time as well. I'll give the HTC One a go for 5 days and then decide.

I use custom rom's so doesn't affect me too much although still using touchwiz and actually liking it for once. HTC make a nice looking phone but I get stuck on the screen real estate thing and not being able to change battery.

Too used to Samsung now to change methinks, it would be like going to IOS or windows it would be too much for this old fella

I had the Z2 for about a week, couldn't really fall in love with it. It's a nice phone but I prefer about 3 other phones to it instead.
