So Motorola has just patched the Moto 360 and now the battery life has siginificantly improved from what I am reading online.

Now with that fix in place, Motorola have removed the only reason I had not to buy the watch.

The next problem is acquiring it in New Zealand. Anyone have any idea if NZ retailers are planning to stock it? I am trying to resist buying it from the US at this point.

Hard enough trying to get it if your in the states!

My parents are in San Fran at the moment. Sent them to Best Buy a few days ago to get me one, cos it was announced more stock came in. Sold out by the time they got there. cry

Yeah I was hoping I would be able to avoid having to go through the postal service because my father is over in the states for one day tomorrow.

I think I might just have to resort to online best buy and Youshop.

Same here. I tried ordering from the moto site last week when the new ones came in, but their site auto changes my youshop address and gets rid of the suite number! So didn't want to chance it. Will just await new stock at best buy.

So this morning, I noticed there are units available to ship on best buy! Yay! Long story short, my visa debit and my master card aren't accepted at check out. Stink. So transferred money over to my AirNZ OneSmart card, which should work. Unfortunately, it takes a day to clear.

Just checked best buy now, aaaaaannd there all gone. cry

At least I'll be prepared for the next batch. Unless anyone else knows where to get them for $249USD?

I just noticed they are on Noel Leeming's website, $399. I'm giving my new iPhone an evil look right now :)

Dunno. I bought a second Chromecast from NL the other week, that was defiantly a parallel import.

Some became available on moto's site yesterday, so I ordered one. Payment went through fine. My card has been charged. Get an email shortly after saying my order is on hold. Call help desk to sort out. Can't get through at all. I'm hoping they just refund me after a certain length of time. Cos I'm just gonna grab one from Noels now...

With the mention of attempts to solve android connectivity It almost smells of 'oops, we realised we had normal BT signalling running 24/7 and not low power heartbeat connection which is now on'

The 360 is easily the nicest offering in its class at present, just battery life puts me off.

I dont know why they haven't put battery capacity into the wrist band yet, it seems a no brainer to me.

Better than waiting until more stock from US.

There is also a bit of an issue with cracked backs on the watches, so having a NZ warranty from Noel Leeming may be a better idea anyway
