I have a VF S4 on which I want to use with the Spark.

I am trying to add APN on my phone.

Couple of problems that I want help with, after putting the settings in and pressing the home screen they vanish on me.

The procedure I use is..........settings.......More Networks.......Mobile networks.....Access Point names......Pressing the + plus and making a new profile calling it spark and following

The second thing that I am confused about is on Geekzone forums this post

Has more/ different settings to the Spark home page so which do I use and how do I set it up ?

Thanks

After entering your APN settings, you must press menu then save, otherwise all you hard work will be lost as you have experienced

I fell into this trap a while ago on an S3, very frustrating until you realise that saving it is pretty logical ;-)
