Now have Lollipop on all my devices but some things are driving my crazy. The new method of turning on mobile data seems strange. Not where you would expect it to be.
Also I used to have an app that could turn mobile data on and off with a press. This no longer works presumably because Lollipop has tightened up what apps can control things like Network. This is a pain if I am in an area that has public wifi and I want to use my mobile data I have to go through the process of switching mobile data off and then accessing the mobile data switch and turning it on.
Previously I could do this with one app.
Anyone else notice these changes

My main gripe with lollipop so far has been that they combined the notifications dropdown with a quick settings drop down on my nexus 10. If I want to lock my screens orientation (which I switch often) it takes an extra swipe. Not really that big a deal, but after getting used to 4.4 over the last year its just a bit annoying.

I noticed it as well because I have a similar app installed. Because of the terrible Nexus 5 battery life I used to regularly turn off mobile data towards late afternoon when my phone was nearly flat if I hadn't had a chance to charge it.

It doesn't really impact me though as I don't regularly switch data on and off.

My nexus 7 when updated could no longer access the play store via the app. Kept saying no wifi connection yet i could get on to Facebook, trademe and use a browser with out any problems, also one navigation app changed to a blank screen and displayed what looks like Korean mixed up with square box's. I had to delete my home wifi connection then reenter it before i could get to the app store then had to uninstal the navigation app and reinstall it.

Did you update via OTA or manually flash it?  I manually did mine and everything worked pretty well (had to re-enter the WiFi at the start though). One thing I've noticed is some slowdowns on the n7 - perhaps it's the encryption slowing things down? Most of the time things are very smooth, but every now and then it seems to pause for a long time.

Yes; it went well.  Went from CM11.2 -> Lollipop by flashing via the standard shell scripts in the downloaded firmware, and then I re-rooted to use TitaniumBackup to restore my apps.  But the account side of things (gmail, etc) I setup from scratch inside JB.

battery didn't last well the first day, but continual playing does that anyway!

There is a little bit of an acceptance learning curve, but generally it seems fine.

It was the  OTA update. I had noticed that the 7 has been slower to respond since the previous update and it does not appear to be any quicker now. Everything just seems to take that little bit longer to load.

Regarding the first couple posts, on my nexus 5, I can pull down the notification bar using two fingers, then auto rotate is right there, and mobile data is two clicks, once on spark, then there's a toggle for mobile data. Is this not the case for you guys?

Yes that is same but its a big difference with what I had before. I could have an icon on front screen that disabled wifi and enabled mobile data. One touch and it was set to go. The app no longer works though anmd I think its because Android has toghten security

Also another problem I cannot find out how to select the voice mail number. In past you could hold the one key on phone dial down and it would pop up to allow you to enter voice mail number. Now instead it pops up and says To enter voice mail go to menu-settings.
DO that and I cannot find voice mail anywhere.
Anyone solved that?
Also if you are a Genius user thjat no longer works will have to file something in the orcon group

Settings from the dialler application; so open the dialler (i.e. the phone icon as if you were to start marking a phone call), then (on my Nexus4) the three dots top-right (next to the microphone icon), then settings.  "Call settings" lists voicemail options.

Yes I agree that is what the Nexus 5 did before Lollipop but since then there are no three dots to get to extra settings
